Team FLH consists of local athletes from the Austin area that are taking on challenging events throughout the US, all in the name of battling cancer. The team locates and participates in mission driven rides, runs, and other activities that benefit organizations committed to:

- Funding Research
- Supporting cancer fighters and their families
- Innovating programs and services

GENENTECH '12 NSM LAS VEGAS
JANUARY 29 - February 1, 2012

Brian and Lupe were invited to attend Genentech's National Sales Meeting at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. During the event, Brian spoke to a group of 5,000 Genentech employees during the opening session, and also participated in an intimate Q&A session, highlighting his personal story and battle with cancer.

BIKES FOR KIDS AUSTIN
NOVEMBER 16, 2011
Lupe and Brian volunteered some time to assemble bikes for the annual Bikes for Kids Austin event. The event has given over 10,000 bicycles to needy families over the past 15 years. This year they plan to give away 750 new children's bikes, just in time for Christmas morning! For more information, click here.

A Fight For Life
AUGUST 2011
Brian was interviewed by Wichita, KS sports reporter, Jenn Bates, for a piece entitled A Fight For Life. The conversation included a candid discussion about his journey back to the baseball field after an offseason filled with aggressive treatment. The story aired on KWCH TV's, Sports Sunday.
